The Tiny Journal

I was hired by the tiny journal to design the third issue of their literary journal. When this print project was transferred fully online due to Covid, I decided to explore the merging of print and digital design. I kept aspects of print such as the two-page spread and pagination, but I also utilized digital aspects such as hyperlinks and more screen-friendly type sizing.

For the table of contents, I imagined every journal page as a container for information. Each tiny page hyperlinks to its corresponding story.

The layout references the large upper margins of notebooks and journals, and the loose leading of the text mimics handwriting on lined pages.
